The signing ceremony of cooperation deal with Hitachi and Horizon

Based on Nuclear Power Generation Technology Accumulated over the Past Half Century, We provide Technical Support to Other Countries.

We are supporting countries that plan to introduce nuclear power generation and are also promoting cooperation with related overseas organizations.

We Cooperate on the Nuclear New Build Project in the UK for Licensing Stage.

We Contribute to the Introduction of Nuclear Power Generation in Vietnam.

We have provided technical support and cooperated on human resources development to Vietnam, which is planning to introduce nuclear power generation.
In October 2010, at Japan-Vietnam summit meeting, it was agreed that Japan was selected as a partner on the introduction of nuclear power generation in Vietnam. Based on the agreement, on September 28th 2011, we contracted with Vietnam Electricity (EVN) on the feasibility study (FS) for the introduction of nuclear power plant in Ninh Thuan No.2 site in Vietnam.
In the FS, we carried out site surveys on meteorological, hydrographical, topographical, and geological conditions. Based on the result of the surveys, we conducted “site evaluation” and “project feasibility study” including basic design, reactor type evaluation, and financial evaluation so that we could contribute to the introduction of NPP in Vietnam.
In addition, we have cooperated on human resources development in Vietnam for years, and we had more than 200 Vietnamese trainees so far. (As of March 2016)
